The UGBAAD Project is a seven-year climate resilience programme funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and implemented by FAO in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
Since its launch in 2025, the project has been supporting farming communities across Hirshabelle, South West, Jubaland, Galmudug, Puntland, and Somaliland by promoting climate-smart agriculture, improving access to quality seeds, strengthening agricultural systems, and helping communities adapt to the impacts of climate change.
Aleel Communications leads the project’s communication, media production, and public visibility, bringing the story of UGBAAD to life across all implementation areas.
Through compelling visuals, field documentaries, photography, videography, drone footage, graphic design, branding, and digital content, we capture the project’s progress and the real experiences of farming communities.
Our work helps partners, stakeholders, and the public see how the project is creating lasting change for Somalia’s agriculture, environment, and rural livelihoods.
