The Women in the Maritime Sector (WIMS) – Training of Trainers Programme, implemented by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) with financial support from the Government of Denmark, brought together women professionals from Somalia’s maritime, fisheries, ports, coast guard, environmental, and security institutions.
This training held in Mombasa, Kenya and the programme aimed to strengthen women’s leadership, technical knowledge, and capacity to contribute to a safer, more inclusive, and resilient maritime sector.
